Join us at Albert’s Garden in the East Village to celebrate the Summer Solstice! This year we welcome back Just (Jazz) Friends, a New York City-based ensemble playing vocal and instrumental jazz standards focused on the American Songbook, with occasional forays into Pop /R&B classics from the ‘60s and ‘70s.
They come to us via Make Music New York, a live, free musical celebration on June 21, the longest day of the year, with over 1,000 concerts on streets, sidewalks and parks across the five boroughs.
Albert’s Garden, begun in the 1971, is one of the oldest community gardens in Manhattan and offers a serene respite from the stress and noise of the city. It features a goldfish pond and a striking wall mural by the Belgian street artist Roa.
