Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.
What’s the buzz this month? Join us as we a take look into another little home on our farm – our local beehive! Our caretaker James will lead visitors in this workshop as we explore the inner workings of beehives, the importance of bees to our community and garden, and even have a chance to taste some fresh honey!
Drop in between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., with Buzzin’ with Bees Workshop at 1:00 p.m.
A Friendly Note: Our Buzzin’ with Bees Workshop is open to visitors of all ages but we ask that young visitors be accompanied by an adult. While we will be opening the beehive for a short amount of time and demonstrating respectful bee etiquette, visitors with allergies or bee anxiety might want to explore the house and gardens at this time.
Seasonal activities inside the historic house and around the gardens include scavenger hunts, artifact investigation, gardening, self-guided exploration, and hands-on activities.
Family Day is open to everyone. Activities are designed for families with kids ages 4 to 10. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No reservation required.
