Learn to Sail with TASCA's Basic Sailing Program - Spring Session (Rescheduled)

Learn to sail on Flushing Meadows Corona Park’s scenic Meadow Lake with the help of The American Small Craft Association, or TASCA. This comprehensive program includes lectures and on-the-water classes. Participants will learn to tie knots, rig a boat, and understand using the wind (as your engine) to sail the boat.
You may attend the first lecture on either Wednesday, May 2, from 6:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m., or on Saturday, May 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The second lecture is scheduled for either Saturday, May 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or Wednesday May 23, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Your series of six on-the-water classes will begin the week of May 7. You may choose between evening (6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) classes on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays, or a morning class (10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) on Saturdays.
There is free parking in the Meadow Lake parking lot.
$300 includes six (6) on-the-water classes, books and materials, classroom instruction, and swim test.
