Join us for live jazz by Phil Young. Phil is a drummer, florist, and leader of "the Harlem Hip" -- as recently seen in The New Yorker. Well loved figure in the uptown community, Phil Young has toured with legendary blues and R. & B. singer Bobby (Blue) Bland and has an extensive music career drumming for the likes of George Benson and Dizzy Gillespie.
Joining Phil Young is a ensemble of world class musicians: the great Patience Higgins on sax, Mel Davis on keyboard, and Michael Rorby on trombone.
Every Thursday mid-day, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., at Hansborough Recreation Center
