With returning visiting artist and bird enthusiast Ash Ferlito, learn to compare size and shape—the first step in bird identification. Make binoculars out of cardboard tubes to help spot avian species at Wave Hill, with drawings and cutouts of various species to help ID them. We’ll show you how to use colored pencils in multiple thin layers to create rich, feathery effects and exciting likenesses of birdy qualities.
