Coney Island Beach Grass Planting at West 27th Street

The roots of beach grasses help keeps sand in place and help us protect our beaches. Join NYC Parks in planting beach grass to help to trap windblown sand.

Volunteers will plant beach grass in marked off areas on Coney Island. Please come dressed in warm, comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. Tools and gloves will be provided.

Arrive at 9:30 a.m. to sign in and receive your supplies.
