Urban Park Rangers specialize in interpretation of historic turning points, both natural and man-made, in our city's long history.

On August 11th, 1973, hip hop was born in The Bronx at a recreational room party. The party was so popular and crowded it had to move the party over to what is now known as Cedar Playground.

Join the Urban Park Rangers and learn about the history of the popular music genre that began as an underground urban movement.
