Join NYC Parks Stewardship as we celebrate the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.! MLK Day is a nationally observed day of service where people all over the country come together to volunteer and improve their communities. Join us in Harlem as volunteers work to make the neighborhood greener, cleaner, and a healthier environment for all to enjoy!

Volunteers will learn how to aerate, cultivate, mulch, and identify street trees. They will also learn about the important roles street trees play in New York City.

Come dressed in clothes that can get dirty, warm layers, durable boots or sneakers, and bring a water bottle. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
