To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Lewis H. Latimer House Museum is hosting a free screening of Dear White People, as part of the 2018 Race and Immigration Film Series.

This 2014 American satirical comedy-drama focuses on escalating racial tensions at a prestigious Ivy League college from the perspective of several African American students.

The event is free. RSVP required. The film is rated R.

The 2018 Race and Immigration Film Series is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
