“We are a group of engaged citizens whose mission is to preserve the history and beautify Moore-Jackson Cemetery, a protected landmark right in our backyard!”
Moore-Jackson Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in Woodside active from before 1733 to at least 1868. It is one of only a few colonial-era cemeteries in New York City and was designated as a New York City landmark in 1997. We encourage volunteers to help out at the Moore-Jackson Cemetery Revitalization Project. As part of Phase 1, we are getting together for several community cleanup sessions.
Join Phase 1 of the Moore-Jackson Revitalization Project where we will be clearing debris and weeds that have completely taken over. There is a lot of work that needs to be done so the work will be divided up into different work sessions in October before it gets too cold.
