Partnerships Academy Workshops
Partnerships for Parks (PfP) invites you to join us at one of our many free and open to the public workshops offered year-round! They are a great way to meet, network, and learn the skills needed to get involved with, build, or sustain your park group.
Upcoming Workshop: NYC Street Tree Resources
Did you know that there are over 600,000 street trees in NYC? These trees remove air pollutants, reduce storm water run-off, and provide shade and shelter, making our city more livable. Volunteers play a huge role in maintaining NYC’s Street Trees and beautifying our blocks!
Register to join us at this workshop to hear from street tree experts about ways that new and experienced volunteers can get involved. Also hear from NYC community leaders about innovative tree-related neighborhood projects and programs.
Speakers will include:
Sam Bishop, Director of Education, Trees NY
Maria Amin, NYC Parks Stewardship
James Kaechele, Director, New York Tree Trust
Delancey Nelson, Outreach Coordinator, Partnerships for Parks
Lawrence Rodriguez, Founder, Casa Frela
Nancy Perez, Chair, 27th Street Block Association
