Based on the book by Alberto Granado, this Spanish language award-winning biopic tells the story of the iconic Ernesto “Che” Guevara (Gael Garcia Bernal) as a young man travelling across South America with his friend Alberto Granado (Rodrigo De la Serna,) by motorcycle. From Brazil to Peru they witness great economic disparities in South America and the exploitation of labor by wealthy industrialists. When they reach a leper colony in Peru, Ernesto's values have changed so much that he joins the lepers, forgetting his own health and birthing his social activism.
