14 Sculptors Inc. On the Rock 2017 Lecture Series: Anne Stanner's "Rockaway Wave" and Rockaway's History

This free event is associated with the current NYC Parks public art exhibition On the Rock 2017: An Exhibition of Sculpture. A multimedia presentation will be led by Rockaway historians Marty Nislick and James Supple and highlight  Anne Stanner's sculpture Rockaway Wave which is part of the On the Rock exhibition.

This public art exhibition features 16 sculptures, 15 artists, and 14 sites that celebrate the spirit and beauty of the Rockaways. The featured sculptures lining the seaside range from the intimate to the monumental. The exhibition will be on view through October 9, 2017 and displayed adjacent to the newly-completed boardwalk on Shore Front Parkway, Rockaway Beach, Queens from Beach 73rd Street to Beach 108th Street.
