The Queens Historical Society is organizing a series of talks associated with the Immigrant Voices satellite exhibit. We are honoured to have the Executive Director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, John Choe as a guest speaker on the 6th of August from 2:30pm - 4:30pm.

He works every day to expand opportunities and empower those who live and work in the most diverse community in the United States; he has launched a number of innovative programs during his tenure.

The Immigrant Voices satellite exhibit will showcase the many diverse immigrant groups through their words and distinct images. So far, the exhibit has been featured in Queens Public Libraries in Jackson Heights, Corona and Ridgewood, and remains to be placed in Astoria, Woodside and many other areas.

Namely, various ethnicities introduced  their relationship with other immigrant groups in their immediate area. This project’s purpose is to also achieve positive awareness of the native born Queens residents towards their  immigrant neighbors.
