The Poe Park Visitor Center hosts The Bronx Meets East Africa, kicking off a two-month exhibition and invites local residents to comment on East African art, pose questions to the artists, and create co-collaborative work.

About the exhibit
The Bronx Meets East Africa is an exhibition showcasing East African artists and their emerging relationships to the Bronx community. The artwork featured will focus on the following themes: The drive to feed one’s family, to provide a decent shelter for self and loved ones, to belong, and to leave a legacy. The Bronx Meets East Africa will be on view at the Poe Park Visitor Center in Poe Park on Tuesdays through Saturdays from August 1, 2017 through September 30, 2017.
