Based on a true story surrounding the events leading to the 1966 NCAA University Division Basketball Championship, this 2006 sports drama tells the story of first all-African American starting line-up in NCAA history. The film explores racism and discrimination in student athletics. Featuring Josh Lucas, Derek Luke and Jon Voigt, Glory Road was nominated for a number of awards including the Humanitas Prize; the film won the 2006 ESPY Award for Best Sports Movie.
