Celebrate Music Month with NYC Parks and New York City Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment!

This 2015 follows Ricki (Merryl Streep), a musician who gave up everything for her dream of rock-and-roll stardom returns home, looking to make things right with her family.Written by Oscar-winner Diablo Cody (JUNO) and direced by Jonathan Demme (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS),the film also stars Meryl Streep's real-life daughter, Mamie Gummer, Kevin Kline, Rick Springfield and Broadway star, Audra McDonald. The film marks Streep and Kline's third collaboration after Sophie's Choice (1982) and A Prairie Home Companion (2006). It was Demme's final film before his death in April 2017.
