NYC Compost: Farm & Garden Work Days

Wednesday, June 7, 2017

9:00 a.m.12:00 p.m.

This event repeats on the 1st Wednesday of every month between 5/3/2017 and 6/18/2017.

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Cultivate an intimate understanding of the interconnections between soil, plants, and human health by working directly with the land. We’ll be getting our hands and knees dirty with tasks that include soil care, weeding, planting, bed preparation, and composting.

Bring a water bottle, and wear a sun hat, closed-toed shoes, and clothing you don’t mind getting dirty.

This volunteer event takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at Heritage Farm and on the third Saturday of the month at the Compost Demonstration Garden.
