Did you know that NYC Parks maintains and operates over 50 miles of hiking trails on Staten Island? Many of these off-road and natural trails are less than a 15-minute walk from public transportation, including the Staten Island Railway!

Join us on National Trails Day for our first Trains to Trails event where we will hike from the SIR Tottenville station through Conference House, Long Pond Park, and Mt. Loretto, then back to the SIR  Richmond Valley station.

The hike will cover approximately five miles of varying terrain and natural habitats, and is an easy to moderate hike. Hikers should come dressed in sturdy boots or hiking shoes. Please bring water and snacks to keep you going.
