Get up close and personal with NYC’s great street photographers in this new series of talks led by the museum’s curator, Paul Moakley. Photographers will discuss their work, process, and hold an informal conversation about using the street as an open studio.
Magnum photographer Peter van Agtmael will discuss work from his latest book Buzzing at the Sill, a personal story about coming home from years of covering war in Iraq and Afghanistan and trying to understand his experiences and his country. The work is a stew of reflections on war, memory, militarism, identity, race, class, family, surrealism, and the landscape. $15/$12 museum members. Limited to 20 participants.
