Spring Cleaning and Earth Day Celebration at Virginia Park

Join Loving the Bronx at Virginia Park on Earth Day for a day of free activities and spring cleaning!

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Help paint benches and clean the playground equipment at Virginia Playground
  • Rake leaves and remove debris near Hugh Grant Circle

Earth Day activities include:

  • Free guided run through Parkchester with Bronx Sole
  • Learn about the Parkchester CSA
  • Learn how to identify and draw trees with local artist Esmeralda Ezzy Castellon
  • Live painting from BxArts Factory
  • Plant some herb seeds with Bronx artist Lovie Pignata
  • Stop at artist Dennis Darkeem's stop and swap table
  • Learn about composting with Chrys Cicalo Napolitanoi
  • Make a button with Lia Lynn and Gwyneth Nilsen at the Loving the Bronx table
  • And more…
