8th Annual Get Green South Bronx Earth Fest

Join GrowNYC at the 8th Annual Get Green South Bronx Earth Fest to celebrate the environment and the culture of the South Bronx with an afternoon filled with entertainment and education. 

Engage with community organizations providing resources and interactive demonstrations for green and healthy living, including fitness classes with Shape Up NYC. There will be a live DJ, songs and music performances by students and community members, games and prizes, as well as free Fresh Food Boxes filled with fresh, local, seasonal fruits and vegetables distributed while supplies last.

Come recycle unwanted electronics, reuse at Stop 'N' Swap, and create at the Reuse Arts & Science Showcase.

Recycle Unwanted Electronics
Responsibly recycle unwanted or broken electronics: TVs, VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, computers: including small servers, monitors, laptops and their peripherals (keyboards, hard drives, mice, etc.), printers/scanners, fax machines, and small electronics including tablets, mobile phones, and MP# players. Please note: appliances, batteries, and light bulbs are not accepted.

Reuse at Stop 'N' Swap
Bring clean, reusable portable items such as clothing, house wares, games, books, and toys that you no longer need, and take home something new-to-you, free! You don't have to bring something to take something. Please note: Please do not bring furniture, large items, tube televisions, expired or open food, unsealed personal care products, medicine, dirty or ripped clothing, fabric scraps, incomplete toys and games, non-working electronics, magazines, or sharp objects. 

Reuse Arts & Science Showcase
Utilizing reused materials, create art, tech, craft, performance, etc. and we'll spotlight your innovation at the showcase! Submit your project proposal to Janna Starr at by Friday, April 14, to participate.

Fresh Food Box
A program of GrowNYC, Fresh Food Box provides healthy, regionally-grown produce well below traditional retail prices. Boxes include the best of what's in season, such as apples, greens, and root vegetables. Fresh Food Boxes will be distributed free at Earth Fest (while supplies last). 

Shape Up NYC
Join NYC Parks' Shape Up NYC program for a free yoga class from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and a free Zumba class from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
