The sixth annual Washington Square Park Folk Festival celebrates the long tradition of folk music performance and culture—a tradition that can trace its roots to the birth of the genre in New York City in the 1940s.
The festival stage will be located in Garibaldi Plaza, and while bleacher seating will be provided, attendees are encouraged to bring additional seating or blankets. The festival–which has been extended to two days this year, for the first time–will close, per tradition, with a community square dance.
This event is free and open to all!
