Party like it's 1999 with NYC Parks as we celebrate the artistry of Prince!

Celebrate musical icon, Prince, at this festive party sponsored by Borough President Eric Adams & NYC Council Member Laurie Cumbo. The party will be followed by a screening of "Purple Rain". The film tells the story of a young musician tormented by an abusive home, a rival singer, a burgeoning romance, and his disgruntled band, as his star begins to rise. "Purple Rain" was Prince's acting debut and features contains extended concert sequences.

The party features guest speakers, DJs and "little red corvettes" and begins at 5:00 p.m. The film starts at 8:00 p.m.

This film features explicit content and is rated R . You should come before 7:30 p.m. to get your spot for the movie. Please bring your own picnic blanket or chair. Food is OK, but no alcohol or smoking is permitted. All are welcome!
