Join us for the closing reception of Will Eisner's "The Spirit" exhibition.
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of his comic strip "The Spirit", Will Eisner is recognized as the Godfather of comics and the Father of the American Graphic Novel, being the first to coin the term "graphic novel" with his release of "A Contract with God", in 1975.
Join us as we show a rare collection of Eisner's lithographs, prints, and original art, celebrating "The Spirit".
Presented by Ray Felix, founder of Bronx Heroes which promotes literacy through the reading of comics and graphic novels. Film screenings, panels, and a reading library of Eisner's work will be on display.
