Remember Shakespeare's 400th birthday this year with readings from the Bard at the historic Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park. The 6th Annual Shakespeare Birthday Sonnet Slam features 154 readers of all ages performing all 154 of Shakespeare’s Sonnets in numerical order. The Sonnet Slam welcomes Sonneteers from all cultures and ages, and both amateur and professional Shakespeareans will read.

This year the lineup includes a musical number from the Broadway show, SOMETHING ROTTEN!, British Deputy Consul General, Nick Astbury and some notable Broadway, film & tv actors (to be announced).

The event is accessible and free to the public and is held rain or shine.
