The Poe Park Visitor Center is proud to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Will Eisner's "The Spirit." Arguably the most influential person in American comics, Will Eisner as artist, entrepreneur, innovator, and virtual storyteller, enjoyed a career that encompassed comic books from their early beginnings in the 1930s to their development as graphic novels in the 1990s.
On display at the Poe Park Visitor Center gallery, the exhibit will feature artworks from Will Eisner's estate, which will include comic strips of "The Spirit", Eisner's graphic novels "A Contact with God", "Dropsie Avenue", "Life Force", and more.
There will be a discussion with Ray Felix of The Spirit's Femme Fatales as part of Women's History Month: "P'Gell", "Sand Sarif", and more.
