The 19th century was an era of revolution–women suffragists, abolitionists, scientists prohibitionists, and others championed social, cultural, economic, and political causes that transcended social boundaries to pave the way for future female leaders.

Learn about the roles of women in the 19th century and those who challenged them, through historic objects and period rooms at Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum.

Thematic tours are held hourly from 12:15 p.m.
