Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

Help NYC Parks set a new Guinness World Record for most trees counted in a single day on Saturday, October 10. This will be the first attempt ever for this record, and we want to set the bar high!

Volunteers who map the most blocks citywide, most blocks in each borough, longest distance, most trees citywide, most sneakers citywide, and the biggest tree of the day, will each win a free pair of Broadway Tickets!

How to participate

There are three ways you can help us count street trees to set the record:

1. Have you already attended a TreesCount! event this summer? Then you qualify to check out a wheel on Oct 10 to map as many blocks as you can! RSVP to one of the below locations to reserve your wheel.

2. If you can't attend an event beforehand, census partner groups will also be hosting events all over the city on the big day, and we'd love to get you rolling! Find events here.

3. Already an Independent Mapper? Check out a wheel from one of our events or loaning hubs before Saturday and get a headstart on your block count!

Come discover the fall colors with us and help us and make Oct 10 count!
