Join us for the 5th Annual Washington Square Park Folk Festival. The festival will feature John Cohen of the New Lost City Ramblers, a legend of the 1960's Greenwich Village folk scene, together with a number of excellent young groups from today's New York City folk world. 

Schedule of performances :

1pm - Feral Foster  Songwriter based solidly in Blues, Folk, Gospel and Balkan music

1:45pm - The Down Hill Strugglers with John Cohen (of the New Lost City Ramblers) - Old time string band

2:30pm - Hoodoo Honey Drippers  Country blues guitar and fiddle duet

3:15pm - The Whiskey Spitters  Jug band, blues and hokum 

4pm - Square Dance!  with caller Alex Kramer caller

The Washington Square Park Folk Festival, produced annually by folk music promoter and historian Eli Smith and NYC Parks, features a mix of older musicians together with performers from the resurgent contemporary folk scene. This diverse festival celebrates the folk history of Greenwich Village. The festival is free and open to all.
