Want to produce more finished compost for your community garden and improve your garden’s soil? Join GreenThumb for a tour of the Earth Matter composting system, and learn advanced composting techniques, such as forced aeration and browns recipe manipulations. These techniques will enable you to take your composting system to the next level! 

Earth Matter accepts and processes food scraps as part of the NYC Compost Project Local Organics Recovery Program, funded by the NYC Department of Sanitation.

Please Note: Allow extra time for travel. In order to make it in time, you will need to take the ferry to Governor’s Island by 11 a.m.
