Freshkills Park Birding Tour
Sunday, March 23, 2014
10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.
Join us as we search for the birds of Freshkills Park along the site's wetlands, creeks, and meadows. Naturalists from the Staten Island Museum will be on hand to talk about habitats and guide us in identifying the animals that appear on the site. This is a perfect trip to learn a little more about Freshkills Park, and a lot more about our natural ecology and animal residents! The tour will be primarily by bus, but will have various opportunities to get out and search the landscape for the wildlife which is returning to Staten Island. This event is free, but space is limited, and registration is required. All ages welcomed.
Location
The tour will depart from the Eltingville Transit Area Park and Ride Lot.
