The firm of Delano & Aldrich played a central role in the first half of the 20th century, substantially shaping the architectural climate of the period. The International Garden Club hired the NY firm in 1914 to restore the dilapidated Bartow mansion. Award-winning architect and author Peter Pennoyer has an international practice in classical architecture and wrote the seminal work on Delano & Aldrich together with architectural historian Anne Walker.
