Mobilization for Change Garden - Recycled Art Workshop

Sunday, June 16, 2013

11:30 a.m.12:30 p.m.

This event repeats every day between 6/15/2013 and 6/16/2013.

Please note: This event has already taken place. Please use the Search options on the right to find upcoming events.

The Recycled Art workshop is free and open for all ages. We will supply a huge assorted lot of discarded/reusable items (phonebooks, soda bottles, household bottles, cardboard boxes, plastic toys, etc.) and with the help of glue, paint and wire something new and beautiful will arise.

For this first ever Recycled Art Workshop, participants can try their hand at making a Recycled Flower or a Recycled Musical Instrument, but of course, all ideas are welcome.

Participants in the Recycled Art workshop are invited to display their original artwork or demonstrate their handmade musical instrument in the garden and join us as we participate as one of the official "Make Music New York" sites on June 21st from 12:30 - 6:30. The Make Music New York/Mobilization Garden Event will feature live acoustic music from local performers (to be announced), refreshments and the recycle workshop will also be open  from 1:00 - 7:30.
