Free Walking Tour: Manhattan’s Revitalized Morningside Park and its Diverse Neighborhoods

Explore the steep topography and dramatic vistas of an NYC Scenic Landmark - Morningside Park. See evidence of the park's recent remarkable revitalization and the impact this has had on the surrounding neighborhoods of Harlem, Manhattan Valley and Morningside Heights. Stroll through parts of each of these neighborhoods to get a sense of their diversity and history. Learn about the concept and history of the Olmsted and Vaux park design. After the tour feel free to stay in the neighborhood and enjoy the many restaurants and bars along Frederick Douglass Boulevard or Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues.
