Skating/Blading

You may use any of Parks' recreational spaces, except tennis courts, without a permit. However, if a permit holder arrives with a valid permit in hand, you must vacate the field or court. An individual must have a season permit or single-play ticket to use Parks' tennis courts.

Organized play (leagues) requires a permit. Click here for an application and more information about permits.

Riverside Skate Park

Hours: May 5 through June 25: Thursdays, Fridays, and Mondays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 7:00 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 
Features: This skate park was built by skateboard legend Andy Kessler. It’s one of the very few vert skating spots throughout the five boroughs featuring a 10 foot wooden half pipe with vert as well as a mini half pipe, and quarter pipe. 
Notes: No bikes allowed; inline skates are permitted. Full pads required.
