Senior Cardio Fitness with Light Weights

45 minutes of Senior Cardio Fitness. Session starts with 7 minutes stretching and warm-up using large range of motion movement with arms and legs with use of light weights, to increase heart rate to prep body for low-impact 30 minutes of cardio segment, which entails a combination of choreographed dance moves, while incorporating the musculoskeletal system. The session ends with 8 minutes cool-down and stretches.

Tony Dapolito Recreation Center, 1 Clarkson Street, Manhattan

An easy-to-do mostly-muscle-toning program that’s entirely done sitting down. This class works your entire body with a gentle series of arm swings, leg lifts and even finger flexibility exercises. Most moves are fairly fast-paced so there is even some aerobic benefit. Ends with a very relaxing stretch.

Make sure to bring a lock to lock up all personal belongings.
