Shamburger's CHKA (Chinese Hawaiian Kenpo Academy) offers a FREE Weekly Women's Self-Defense class as a community service to the women of New York City. Learn the art of close combat through this Japanese martial art.  Designed to redirect an opponent's energy, it uses special grappling techniques like trapping, locks and holds.

This Japanese martial art focuses on striking techniques as a form of self-defense.  A deeply ethical fighting tradition, it incorporates philosophical and physical elements.

This program is open to participants ages 4 and older.  Children may begin at any point throughout the year, but must be registered with the instructor.
