Feldenkrais: Awareness Through Movement®, students learn a direct and effective means for healing pain, while also improving posture, flexibility and coordination. Over time, we each adopt physical and psychological habits, often constraining us to a small portion of our movement potential, and creating unnecessary physical limitations, injury, or chronic pain. Classes are non-competitive and students move according to their own comfort level and progress at their own rate. The emphasis is on sensory learning. The lessons are of benefit to everyone wishing to move with greater comfort and ease.

Gaga/people explores “gaga”, a movement language developed by Israeli choreographer Ohad Naharin to help dancers and non dancers reconnect to the way they move. Teachers guide the class through a series of evocative instructions that participants actively explore, discovering individual ways to interpret and perform the information through movement. Gaga/people classes offer a creative framework for participants to connect to their bodies and imaginations, increase their physical awareness, improve their flexibility and stamina, and experience the pleasure of movement in a welcoming, accepting atmosphere. No prior dance experience needed, and this Open Level class is offered on a drop-in basis.
