Mariella Bisson’s large-scale, mixed media paintings of picturesque waterfalls in upstate New York are coupled with her preparatory drawings and watercolors in Sunlight, Water and Gravity. Her paintings, created with hundreds of pieces of layered paper, teeter on the edge of abstraction and representation. The overlapping paper replicates the texture of rushing water and rock strata. Motion, gravity, and the endlessness of geological time are as much the subject of Bisson’s paintings as the actual waterfalls.

Wheelchair softball was born over 25 years ago in the Midwest by a few individuals with spinal cord injuries and lower extremity impairments, who still wanted to enjoy America's greatest pastime. These individuals needed to develop a way of playing that would allow easy maneuverability in a wheelchair and keep the fast pace of softball. Thus, a new game was born and played on hard surfaces, such as a parking lots, with a 16-inch softball, which allows wheelchair players to keep one hand one the wheelchair while catching a softball without a glove.

Henry IV, Part 1 depicts a span of history that begins with Hotspur's battle at Homildon in Northumberland against the Douglas late in 1402, and ends with the defeat of the rebels at Shrewsbury in the middle of 1403.

The mission of Hudson Warehouse is to present the classics in exciting productions inspired by our past and relevant to our present day. We want to educate the novice and enthrall the well-versed. We embrace the traditional and innovative, the classical and the modern classic. Through the dedication, passion and intelligence of all our theater artists, we bring these works to life. When our work elicits a true emotional response from an audience member, this experience reaffirms that theatre is a "ware" that is essential to daily life.

Academy Award nominee Sam Waterston (Newsroom, Law & Order, The Public’s King Lear) returns in The Tempest, Shakespeare’s classic about young love, old enemies and the eternal magic of storytelling. Exiled to a fantastical island, Prospero unleashes a churning storm to shipwreck the traitor brother who stole his throne and settle the score once and for all. But bitter revenge is upended by newfound love in this sublime masterpiece that proves we are all “such stuff as dreams are made on.” Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Romeo and Juliet, Our Lady of Kibeho, If/Then, Next to Normal) directs.

Join NYC Parks and the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) for films screening at the Columbus Park Pavilion in the month of June.

Disney classic 101 Dalmatians tells the story of two canine pets Pongo and Perdita. Perdita gives birth to fifteen spotted pups, drawing the attention of Cruella De Vil, the villianess who demand the owners of two canines, a struggling composer and his wife, sell the pups to her. However, the owners decline her demands to sell the pups and Cruella De Vil devises a plan to steal them.

Through the beloved Disney classic 101 Dalmatians, MOCA pays tribute to Tyrus Wong, the artist who conceptualized the design style of Disney's animated classic, Bambi (1941). Water to Paper, Paint to Sky: The Art of Tyrus Wong, is the retrospective exhibit on Tyrus Wong currently on view at the MOCA until September 13, 2015.

About MOCA: The Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is a non-profit institution that preserves, presents and explores the diverse history, heritage and culture of people of Chinese descent in the United States through innovative exhibitions, educational initiatives, and public programs. Visit www.mocanyc.org to find out more and check out its calendar of upcoming events!

But bitter revenge is upended by newfound love in this sublime masterpiece that proves we are all “such stuff as dreams are made on.” Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Romeo and Juliet, Our Lady of Kibeho, If/Then, Next to Normal) directs.
