The Moon & Saturn Join AC&F for a lecture by Jaclyn Avidon of the Amateur Astronomers Association.

Following the lecture, we will step onto the rooftop for Skygazing (weather permitting). The Moon and Saturn are two gems of the night sky. Chances are, you’ve seen the Moon in the night sky. And you may never have realized it, but you’ve probably seen Saturn several times too, disguising itself as a star to our naked eyes. Come learn more about these celestial bodies – how they formed, what they’re made of, and…does Saturn float? Jaclyn Avidon is the Chair of the Education Committee of the Amateur Astronomers Association of New York. The AAA will provide telescopes, but guests are welcome to bring their own binoculars and telescopes and set them up alongside the experts. Please RSVP to reserve your seat.

About the AAA

The Amateur Astronomers Association of New York was organized in 1927 to promote the study of Astronomy, emphasizing its cultural and inspirational value. The AAA holds observing and educational events throughout the 5 boroughs, and beyond. Visit aaa.org to find out more and check out their calendar of upcoming events!
