Held annually the first Sunday in May, the TD Five Boro Bike Tour is the world's biggest charity bike ride.

Produced by Bike New York, NYC's premier bicycling nonprofit, in association with the City of New York and the New York City Department of Transportation, this dynamic event draws 32,000 cyclists from around the world to pedal 40 miles through all five boroughs of New York City on totally traffic-free streets. It's the only time of the year when cyclists can experience the breath-taking thrill of riding over the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge into Staten Island.

Proceeds from the Tour fund Bike New York's free bicycle and safety education programs. In 2013, we taught over 14,000 New Yorkers how to ride and how to do so safely and confidently in the city.

Registration for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour is required to participate in the event, and is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration will open at 12 p.m. (noon) EST on January 14, 2014. Visit Bike New York's TD Five Boro Bike Tour page to register.
