The signature annual event at Freshkills Park, Sneak 'Peak' is a festival unlike any other. The site is normally closed throughout the year as we continue park development and construction, but once a year we throw open the gates and hold a celebration! Join us to celebrate the potential of the future of Freshkills Park with a day of fun with activities like kayaking, biking, birding, public art, puppetry workshop, walking tours, climbing walls, an informational fair, and kite flying, all of which offer a glimpse of what the park will have to offer. Last year 3,500 people joined us for the celebration of Staten Island's newest jewel of parkland - this year promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Visit nyc.gov/sneakpeak to find out more! Parking for the festival will be available at 250 Wild Avenue, behind the Showplace Bowling Alley off of Victory Blvd. Free shuttles will run to the festival from the Staten Island Ferry, just hop off the ferry and on to a direct shuttle right to the celebration without any hassle! Alternatively, the s62 bus runs down Victory Blvd. to the park.

Come to Fort Tryon Park and try something new. Join us on Saturdays, Tuesday and Thursday mornings for one hour of walking, stretching, and strengthening exercises.

All of our fitness programs are free, led by trained professionals, and suitable for all levels. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Please check back for rain and weather/air advisory cancels. Fitness programs are canceled if the weather is lower than 20 degrees.

For a breath of fresh air, take your workouts outdoors. Parks are becoming a logical alternative environment for those who want to add variety to their work outs, or who just don't like the gym. And, it's an affordable way to increase physical activity opportunities, because there's nothing special to build.

Exercise with a view, in natural sunlight, with green scenery all around bestows health benefits that can’t be found indoors. Scientific studies have shown that the pleasure of being outdoors for example gives your brain, psyche, and immune system an extra boost.

Come to Fort Tryon Park and try something new. Join us on Saturdays, Tuesday and Thursday mornings for one hour of walking, stretching, and strengthening exercises.

All of our fitness programs are free, led by trained professionals, and suitable for all levels. Wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Please check back for rain and weather/air advisory cancels. Fitness programs are canceled if the weather is lower than 20 degrees.

For a breath of fresh air, take your workouts outdoors. Parks are becoming a logical alternative environment for those who want to add variety to their work outs, or who just don't like the gym. And, it's an affordable way to increase physical activity opportunities, because there's nothing special to build.

Exercise with a view, in natural sunlight, with green scenery all around bestows health benefits that can’t be found indoors. Scientific studies have shown that the pleasure of being outdoors for example gives your brain, psyche, and immune system an extra boost.
