Seven years ago, the city launched the MillionTreesNYC initiative with an ambitious goal: to plant and care for one million new trees across the city.

The benefits to be gained were clear: improved air and water quality; reduced pollution from storm water runoff, flooding and erosion; and reduced energy costs, to name a few.

Since 2007, we have come a long way towards reaching our goal of planting one million trees, and we are confident that we will get there.

We invite you to join us this spring to plant trees at Jones Woods Park in Staten Island!
