SUMMARY:Hear the Ball (Beep Baseball)
DESCRIPTION: New York City Hear the Ball will provide components of education, social networking and an introduction to a sport that benefits those with vision disabilities. At this event, the Long Island Bombers will compete against WFAN 660 in an exhibition game of beep baseball. Beep baseball is a sport that allows individuals with vision disabilities the opportunity to interact socially while providing an excellent opportunity for physical activity. Beep Baseball is an adapted version of our national pastime, and with the beep of a ball and buzz of a base it enables athletes with vision disabilities to enjoy team competition. All are welcome as organizations will be present to provide education about services available for those with vision disabilities. At this event spectators will witness athletic individuals who conquer their challenges and rely on the abilities that lie within.
