The restoration of Washington Square Park involves a discretionary action subject to review under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA), its implementing regulations as set forth in 6 NYCRR Part 617, and the Rules of Procedure for City Environmental Quality Review (CEQR).  Attached is the Environmental Assessment Statement which has been issued by City of New York Parks & Recreation.
