Moses Mountain
Moses Mountain, a 200-foot "mountain" offering a 260-degree panorama, was formed when boulders and serpentine rock were removed to construct a highway that was designed during Robert Moses's tenure in the 1960s. The highway, which was never built thanks to opposition from concerned citizens, would have virtually destroyed the Greenbelt.
