Volunteers Needed

Volunteers (as individuals or in groups) are asked to attend a training session and commit to at least one census zone—approximately 300 trees and an estimated 40 hour commitment over 4 months.

  • Just 2-3 hours a week.
  • All tools will be provided.
  • Volunteers are also needed for other non-field activities.
  • There will be parties, events, gifts, and celebrations of all kinds.

Please Note: At this time, All Manhattan zones have been assigned to trained volunteers. We still need many volunteers to census trees in the other four boroughs (80% of the trees in the city). Please consider attending a training at your convenience and accepting a zone in a new neighborhood.
