Our service pledge to citizens with dead trees in front of their houses is to inspect and remove such trees within 30 days of notification. When you sign up below, your request will be forwarded to the appropriate borough forestry office for action.

Newly planted street trees are under guarantee for two years. If you are reporting a dead tree that was planted less than two years ago, your request will be forwarded to the Street Tree Planting office and will be put on the list for a replacement tree. Tree planting seasons are in the spring and the fall and run from March 15 to May 15 and October 15 to December 15, respectively, weather permitting.

To report a dead tree, please fill out an online form or call 311.
