Lower Manhattan Redevelopment

Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Logo

As part of the comprehensive effort to rebuild and improve the area, the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation (LMDC) has allocated approximately $24 million to the City of New York Parks & Recreation to create and reconstruct over a dozen Lower Manhattan park sites. These parks will act as a catalyst for redevelopment, improve the quality of life throughout Lower Manhattan, and give the inhabitants of New York City more room to relax and to play.
